Billy And The Willies (The Devil In Miss Jones) Discography

Billy And The Willies

The band Billy & the Willies was formed in 1983, then consisting of Ricki & Mick A on guitars, Mario on drums and bassist, songwriter and singer Sonic. Behind Mick A is none other than Martin Kircher, who is probably best known under his pseudonym Junge, singer with EA80. The Willies (the name was a product of a pub night) whose musical role models included the Butthole Surfers, enriched their punk sound with every imaginable rock style.
Most of the texts were each a small world of their own. Since their records were also distributed in the USA, a musician from the Butthole Surfers even noticed them and offered them a collaboration. However, the band declined, not wanting to put themselves through the stress of commercial success.
At the beginning of the 90s, a dark shadow fell on the Willies when guitarist Ricki died. The band couldn't and didn't want to continue playing under their old name because the Willies as they were no longer existed.

However, they decided to stay together and formed The Devil in Miss Jones in 1991, now with Sonic on guitar and newcomer A(ndreas?) on bass. The name was taken from an issue of the American Penthouse, which, for the sake of simplicity, was searched in the advertisements for suitable band names. So it came about that the band now named themselves after the American porn movie from the 70s, "The Devil in Miss Jones".
